About Terminal 3

American Airlines' hub terminal and O'Hare's largest, with 80 gates across Concourses G, H, K and L. It also hosts Alaska Airlines, Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Japan Airlines and select United flights, spanning both Oneworld and Star Alliance carriers under one roof. Renovations completed between 1987 and 1990 added a flag-lined entrance hall leading into Concourses H and K. Terminal 3 connects airside to Terminals 1 and 2 by walkway, so travelers switching between American and United gates do not need to leave security. It does not connect directly to Terminal 5.
